I own an interior design firm and have hired Shane many times to take photos of my projects over the years. The edited photos have always been great and returned to me within a week or two, until a few months ago. I hired him for a photoshoot at the end of March 2024. It took him about a month to edit the photos and he only returned half of them finished. My Operations Director emailed him numerous times reminding him we were still expecting photos. Since I had never had issues with him before this, I scheduled him to photograph another project at the end of April. We had the same issue. It took a month and a half to receive only a portion of my edited photos. Almost 40 images were missing and nearly 20 images needed more editing. My Operations Director and I made Shane and his assistant aware of this but still have not received all of our images.
They both assured us he was working on the photos and we would receive them. Even though we were still missing edited photos from 2 projects, I gave Shane the benefit of the doubt and hired him for a photo shoot in mid-June. We spoke at the shoot about everything and I expressed my disappointment in his service and communication. He apologized and assured me he would communicate if there were delays and that he was almost finished editing the photos he owed me. I asked for 2 images to be edited from the June photo shoot and given to us within a couple of days, which he promised to do. He also promised he would give us the rest of the edited photos from that project within 2 weeks. He did send us the 2 images in the timeframe he promised. After receiving the 2 edited photos, we had a few minor notes.
That’s when all communication from Shane completely stopped. We still have over 50 photos that require editing between the 3 photo shoots, mind you, Shane requires payment in full before each photoshoot so I have already paid for his service and the finished product. We have sent countless emails, and texts, and left many voicemails. The only correspondence we’ve received is from Shane’s assistant, always promising that we’d hear from Shane or receive our edited photos by a certain date, only for the promise to be broken. We have been told Shane is going through health issues and a slew of other excuses, which we completely have sympathy for.
There comes to a point in which the frustration of broken promises, lack of communication, and having to rearrange marketing efforts because we don’t have the necessary photos, that we are at our breaking point. At the end of August, after months of chasing Shane and his assistant for the remaining edited photos without receiving them, I asked for a refund for all 3 photoshoots. I told both of them that I didn’t trust that I would ever receive the edited photos and instead of giving them to me, I just wanted a refund. His assistant told me she would talk to Shane and let me know when they would refund me.
I have yet to receive a refund, after reaching out to both of them numerous times about it. And, I still have not received a call, text, or email from Shane this entire time. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER not contact a disgruntled customer to attempt to resolve the issue and believe his behavior is completely unacceptable. I have no faith that I will receive the edited photos or my money back. I have never written a bad review for anyone, and am EXTREMELY discouraged, saddened, and disappointed in Shane and this situation. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Sadly one of the worst modeling experiences I’ve had in a long time with Svetik Sambell and Shane Baker. Models were extremely uninformed (most not even aware there was a runway show) they were unable to find a dress that fit me despite me having sent my measurements in twice (once to Shane and once to the designer), once I got there, told me my heels were not high enough even after I had sent in photos of them prior and Shane left before taking photos of all the models as had been promised in the job description. Needless to say I WILL NOT be working with either ever again.
There are many more negative feedbacks about this rotten man and if you may know, he also has series of criminal cases as you can see from the picture below.
